With effect from 1st November 2017 there will be new operating hours for the Dubai Metro.
This is good news for commuters who start work early and will hopefully also ease congestion slightly at rush hour by spreading journeys out over a longer period.
The new operating hours will mean that the Metro will start half an hour earlier on the Red Line between Saturday and Thursday and 20 minutes earlier on the Green Line between Saturday and Thursday.
On Fridays the Metro will run at the same timings as previously, opening at 10am and closing at 1am on a Saturday.
The RTA has also announced more trains to be deployed at the busiest stations on the Metro.
This change starts on Dubai Transport Day on 1st November which has been celebrated in the Emirate now for a number of years and often brings news to highlight the public transport systems in Dubai.
