For the last 7 Fridays, the Dubai Metro has run on reduced hours for the Red Line due to testing that was taking place for the Expo 2020 route (you can find more details here).
From tomorrow, Friday 20th March, normal service hours will resume on a Friday for the Red Line, meaning that the Metro will go back to opening at 10am and closing at 1am as it did before the changes.
The Green Line was unaffected during this time and was operating on standard hours.
The UAE is hoping that Expo 2020 will be able to go ahead as planned and will revive the economy after the slump that is being brought about from the coronavirus.
