The RTA has announced that the Dubai Metro will open for longer during Expo 2020 so that it is easier for people to get to and from the venue. The new operating hours apply from 1st October 2021.
In particular, the metro will be opening at 8am on a Friday rather than 10am, so that people have plenty of time to visit Expo 2020. The new opening hours are applicable to all stations and to the green and red lines.
The stations are also closing later to help people get home from Expo 2020 too, with stations closing at 1.15am during the week and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Entry to Expo 2020 is from 08:30 to 23:00 Saturday to Wednesday, and 08:30 to 01:00 Thursday to Friday and special days. However, the opening hours are shown as 7 days a week | 10:00-00:00 Sat-Wed | 10:00-02:00 Thu-Fri.
