The Dubai Metro New Year timings for 2025/26 don’t appear to have been announced yet by the RTA as far as we can see. However, it is very likely that services will be running over new year and all the way through until the end of 1st January as this is normally the case and has been for many years.
The most common scenario is that red and green line services start on the morning of 31st December 2025 as usual. As that is a Wednesday this year, services start at 5am and would normally continue until 1am the following day. However, services will likely run all the way through the night of 31st December, continue as normal on 1st January 2026 and stop at 1am on the Friday morning (2nd January).
The exception to this is the station at Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, which normally shuts early (possibly around 6pm) so that there is not a mass influx of people entering the area for the new year’s celebrations.
If you do plan on going to downtown Dubai for New Year, then please make sure you get there early as it is likely to be packed and there is a chance you might get turned away.
As always, spending New Year in Dubai is an exciting experience and the RTA do make plans for everyone to get home safely, including running extra taxi services. You just need to make sure you plan your journey in advance.
