Today a new walkway was opened between the Dubai Metro station at Ibn Battuta and the mall itself.
The walkway is 210 metres long and also includes a number of shopping outlets to add to the already expanded Ibn Battuta.
This will make a much easier transfer between the metro station and the mall and will likely encourage more people to visit the mall.
This is not the end of the expansion of Ibn Battuta mall which will have even more leasable shop space added in future months.
There are a number of malls that are directly connected to the Dubai Metro, including Mall of the Emirates, Burjuman and City Centre, thus making the Metro a great way to do your shopping in many different areas if you do not have a car.
Ibn Battuta is a picturesque mall, with sections named after and dedicated to the regions that were travelled by Ibn Battuta, who was an explorer in the 14th Century.
